Huasheng Online October 7 (all-media reporter Liang Keting correspondent Liu Yichen) During the National Day holiday, visitors to Yangtianhu Prairie in Chenzhou were delighted to find that the Chenyang Highway, which was prone to congestion in the past holidays, became smooth and orderly. The data shows that in the six days before the holiday, the Yangtianhu Prairie Scenic Area received 100,000 tourists, and the overall tourist reception in Beihu District reached 1,146,500. There was no large-scale and long-term traffic congestion, and tourist satisfaction was significantly improved.
Yangtianhu Prairie, as a popular tourist destination in Hunan, has witnessed a sustained and rapid increase in the number of tourists in recent years. During the National Day Golden Week last year, the scenic spot once set a record of receiving more than 30,000 people in a single day. The increasing passenger flow has brought great pressure to the traffic in scenic spots, and holiday traffic guidance has become the focus of improving the service in scenic spots. This year, Beihu District played a combination of "expansion+wisdom" to ease congestion from the source. 17 temporary parking lots were opened through multi-department linkage, 4,200 free parking spaces were added, and 4 connecting points were set up, and a free shuttle bus was sent every 3 to 5 minutes to reach the entrance of the scenic spot, effectively diverting self-driving vehicles. The smart transportation platform that was activated simultaneously became the "guidance hub". Four smart big screens along Chenyang Highway updated information such as traffic flow, parking spaces and weather in real time. The aerial patrol of unmanned aerial vehicles cooperated with remote voice guidance to realize the transformation from "passive disposal" to "active guidance".
"Tourism services should think ahead of demand and do it in practice." Zhu Bingfeng, deputy director of the Cultural Tourism and Sports Bureau of Beihu District, introduced that Beihu District will extend the service to the whole experience of tourists. In the "North Lake Pick-up Station" activity at the West High-speed Railway Station, the waiting process was transformed into a relaxed cultural experience by setting up a "Chenxin service post" to provide consultation and reservation guidance for cultural tourists, and setting up an "immersive waiting area" in the scenic spot, combined with interactive activities such as non-legacy songs, football knowledge quiz, "Xiangchao" cultural and creative products display, football bread and biscuits tasting, and ball game tickets giving, which effectively alleviated tourists’ waiting anxiety. Li Hongxi, a tourist from Changsha, said: "It’s convenient to make an appointment and interesting to wait. This is what traveling looks like!"
