African gold digger in China Marathon: Wear 4-yuan sandals to win 3 championships.

African gold diggers in China Marathon

It’s always a dark shadow that crosses the finish line first.

On November 18th, in Suzhou International Half Marathon, Kenyan Josphat was the first to reach the finish line.

On October 29th, amoni, an Ethiopian athlete, won the first prize in the Shaolin Temple Marathon in Songshan.

The list can be very long, and the champions are all black faces. This is because China marathon enthusiasts focus on the races they participate in. For African runners, bonuses are their rice bowls and the only source of income.

This bonus is a great fortune in their hometown. The most common marathon in China, with a bonus of 10,000 yuan, is equivalent to three to four times the monthly salary of the working class in Kenya, which can tie the income of a few high-paying occupations such as doctors and lawyers.

They are a group of runners from Kenya and Ethiopia. Like a flock of migratory birds, they flew to China from the African continent before the starting gun of the marathon.

Running is an innate talent. They use this talent to improve their lives and even change their destiny.

African "black" intermediary of China Marathon, the only black broker — — Ou Chen is currently serving his 300 African brothers, all of whom are high-level long-distance runners. Ou Chen hopes that through its own platform, more athletes will go out of Africa and come to China to participate in the competition.

Fly 10 thousand kilometers to "gold rush"

When waiting for the starting gun to sound, Josphat in a blue T-shirt was not at the front of the team, but behind the player in the fluorescent green vest. After 1 hour and 7 minutes, the blue coat appeared at the finish line first.

This is Josphat’s first visit to China. He is 36 years old this year.

He is a typical marathon global gold digger. Before coming to China, he had traveled all over Europe. He bowed his head and broke his hands and pointed out: Germany, Czech Republic, Spain, Poland … …

Josphat remembers that his first game was in Kenya, and he won the fourth place with a prize of about 10,000 yuan. He is very happy. In Kenya, where experts gather, this is a commendable good ranking.

Since 2002, Josphat has been an out-and-out veteran. He has always maintained a high level, and almost all the marathons he participated in have won.

Because of his outstanding strength, he was invited by the organizers to be the front runner in many marathon events in Europe. A lead will bring him 3000 euros in income.

Josphat, who has been playing in Europe for many years, found Ou Chen through a European agent last year and expressed his willingness to come to China to participate in the competition.

The east coast of the African continent is about 10,000 kilometers away from Shanghai, China, and it takes a long flight of 15 hours. Josphat feels very comfortable when he comes to China for the first time.

"There are many competitions in China, and there are too few competitions in Europe." Josphat talked about the reason why he came to China to compete. "If you want, you can run almost once a week.".

The China Marathon shows an explosive growth trend. It is estimated that there will be more than 500 marathons in 2017, and in 2015, this number will only stay at 134.

On November 18th, he won the Suzhou International Half Marathon and won a prize of 10,000 yuan. Six days ago, in the Taizhou International Marathon on November 12th, Josphat finished second in the first race in China, and the prize money was also 10,000 yuan.

Comparatively speaking, Dairus’s marathon qualification is still relatively shallow, only five years, but its strength is equally good.

In Hongze Lake International Marathon and Bayannaoer International Marathon, Dairus won the second place in the whole group, with prizes of 15,000 yuan and 12,000 yuan respectively.

Dairus is very tall, with two long legs and a thick beard covering his cheeks. Wearing a black hat and red slacks, he looks much more fashionable than other athletes.

"Although many people in China can’t speak English, they really want to communicate with me. I am very happy." Dairus said that he likes China very much, and he thinks China people are kind and friendly.

Wear 4-dollar sandals and win 3 championships.

The day before returning to China, Dairus was lying in bed. After the game, he was so tired that he almost fell asleep, and his running shoes were messy on the bedside.

Dairus is now wearing professional running shoes of Nike brand. Five years ago, this was something he dared not expect. At that time, I just ran and had no income. Shoes were a luxury, "too expensive".

In Kenya, many athletes can’t afford to buy equipment, so they can only help each other. Dairus is also funded by friends. If a friend has several pairs of shoes, he will give you a pair.

Financial distress once shattered his dream. Before running, he was a college student, majoring in computer science, which was his interest, but he dropped out of school without graduation.

Giving up his studies and picking up his talents, Dairus started running training. Like other marathon runners, Dairus believes that running is their innate talent.

Dairus comes from Eldoret in the northwest of Kenya, a plateau city with an altitude of 2,400 meters. It is the most famous hometown of long-distance running in Kenya and even the world, where more than 40 world-class long-distance running champions have been born.

Being good at running and making a living by running, the talent under their feet carries their glory and dreams and becomes the only opportunity for many people to change poverty.

Amoni was so angry that he was honored as "Brother Sandals" by netizens in China.

This athlete from Ethiopia won the first prize in the Jingyuan Half Marathon on October 22nd, the Songshan Shaolin Temple Marathon on October 29th and the Yuyang Dongsha New District Marathon on November 5th.

To people’s consternation, he finished the race wearing a pair of blue sandals. The soles of these foam sandals have turned white, and the metal buckles are covered with yellow rust and have been damaged. In the competition, amoni’s big feet were tightly wrapped in sandals, and there was no need to fasten them firmly.

The first time he set foot on the track in China, amoni took part in competitions in five cities in China in one month, winning three championships, a third place and a fifth place, and winning a total prize of 48,000 yuan.

Back in Shanghai, amoni put the "blue combat boots" on the bedside table. This pair of sandals bought in my hometown is actually "Made in China", and the price is converted into RMB about 4 yuan money.

  Disappearing brokers and bonuses

This newly opened road of gold rush is not easy for African athletes to run at first, and often hides fraud.

Jackson walked with a limp. He won the third place in the marathon that started in Fangchenggang on November 19th. In the coming week, he will also participate in two competitions.

After careful consideration, Jackson decided to come to China for gold for the second time. But apart from Ou Chen, he never trusted other brokers.

Nine months later, Jackson still can’t get over his first visit to China. He carried with him the gold medal and ranking certificate issued by Hainan Marathon, which proved that the A3315 number plate he wore during the race had been deeply imprinted.

Through a China agent named "Andy", he signed up for the Hainan (Sanya) International Marathon on February 26th.

It was a terrible experience. The agent took him from Nanjing, took the ordinary train, and spent four days and four nights on the road before arriving in Sanya. Jackson recalled the hardships he suffered when he went to Hainan, and he was very excited.

In 2 hours and 15 minutes, Jackson ranked fourth with a prize of $3,500.

However, then the agent "Andy" disappeared and Jackson’s bonus disappeared. The mobile phone number left on a white note was never answered.

"This is a lot of money", and he hopes that someone can help him find the disappeared broker and get his bonus back.

With the increase of China Marathon, more African athletes are willing to try their luck. China people with connections found business opportunities, helped bridge the gap, and started as brokers.

This is a contractual relationship. The organizer of the competition will hand over the bonus to the broker, who will hand it over to the athletes. The broker’s return is the bonus commission of the athletes. In addition, some competitions need foreign excellent athletes to "support the scene", and agents earn invitation fees from them.

But trust is sometimes fragile. In a foreign land, the agent holds the wallet of an African athlete. Due to the lack of restraint, athletes are just tools for them to make money. Some greedy brokers take all the bonuses and disappear.

In March 2016, Kenyan athlete Robert (pseudonym) called Ou Chen and said, "I am at the gate of your school now."

Ou Chen was puzzled because he didn’t know the person on the other end of the phone. "I don’t know how he found our school and how he got my phone number.".

After the meeting, Robert said that he had come to participate in the competition, but after flying to Shanghai, the former China agent changed his mind and asked him to solve the transportation and accommodation himself. Robert, who had no friends, had to turn to his African fellow villagers in Shanghai for help.

The "black" intermediary trusted by 300 brothers

"There are many excellent athletes who run very well, but some people have been training all their lives because they have no chance to participate in the competition, and no one has a crush on them."

On the campus of Shanghai University, Ou Chen is an African student. His popularity is very good, and he is the president of the African Students’ Association. Many international students warmly greet him.

Outside the campus, Ou Chen is a marathon broker, the only black broker in China at present, calling himself a "black" intermediary. He explained that it is an intermediary for black athletes. "They are not only my athletes, but also my brothers."

After three years of development, this "black" intermediary has 300 African athletes. Josphat, Dairus and Brother Sandals are all his athletes, waiting for his notice every year to come to China to participate in the competition.

Ou Chen’s hometown is also in Eldoret, and he knows the difficulties of his compatriots. "In Kenya, the competition for running is very fierce. There are only a dozen marathons a year, and few people can get bonuses, so some people will choose to go abroad to participate in the competition. "

"Because I am now in China, I hope to use this platform to help them change their lives." In Ou Chen’s view, it is the mission and goal to open a channel for talented athletes to earn wealth.

As an agent, Ou Chen’s job is to contact the China Marathon Organizing Committee, introduce African athletes to the competition, help them fill in the registration form, buy air tickets and arrange accommodation. After the athlete wins the prize, he can get a 15% bonus share.

Longyang Business Hotel near the west gate of Shanghai University is a transit point for this group of African gold diggers. Most of the year, there are black athletes living here, ranging from five or six to more than twenty.

One standard room, two athletes. The room is not big, and the luggage is scattered in the aisle. Backpacks usually contain competition clothes and running shoes, and some athletes also carry home specialties, such as Kenyan tea.

African brothers got good grades, which is the most fulfilling moment in Ou Chen. In the Fangchenggang Marathon on November 19th, the athletes from Ou Chen swept the top three, and the athletes from other events also got a good ranking.

On the bedside cupboard or the table in front of it, the golden trophies of different shapes have not been put away, which is particularly conspicuous in the messy room.

Bonuses, big houses and mental stress

Many people’s lives are completely changed when their talents are converted into bonuses.

Ou Chen remembers an athlete who didn’t even have the money to get a visa at first. After running two marathons in China, he went back to downtown Kenya to buy land and build a house.

Different from the marathon believers in China, although they all go to various places to participate in competitions, their goals are completely different. Just like an exam, believers in China are mostly looking for passing the competition, while African athletes such as Dairus are aiming for ranking and bonuses.

Running is all sources of income for Dairus. Dairus will also go to Europe to participate in competitions. In the past four competitions, he earned nearly 10,000 euros.

When running on the track, Dairus was full of thoughts about how to run better and win the championship. Champion means high prize money. Take the Shanghai Marathon, which has the highest prize money in China, for example, the prize money of the champion is as high as 45,000 US dollars.

In Kenya, the per capita monthly income is about 4,000 yuan. Engineers, doctors and lawyers are a few high-income groups, and the monthly income of the working class is less than 3,000 yuan. In an ordinary marathon in China, the prize money is about 10,000 RMB, which is equivalent to three to four times the monthly salary of Kenyan working class.

"Excellent players earn almost $100,000 a year, which is a very high income." Ou Chen compared that it costs about $100,000 to buy a 250-square-meter piece of land in downtown Kenya. Many people can afford to borrow for decades, and these athletes only need to run for one year.

"Running is to support the family and live a better life at home." Josphat, 36, understands that there is not much time left for himself to earn money by running.

By running, Josphat earns a lot more than his brothers and sisters. In the past year, Josphat earned 15,000 euros, almost 120,000 RMB.

Josphat has four sisters and three brothers. Except one brother who is an athlete, all the other brothers and sisters are engaged in agriculture, with an annual per capita income of about 70,000 RMB. "This is income without removing costs".

Robert’s good life will have to wait for a while. Since his illness, Robert has kept in touch with Ou Chen, and he hopes to return to the field again.

The accident happened in August this year. Robert went to participate in a marathon in Inner Mongolia. On the train, he suddenly went insane and stayed up all night. He always felt that someone was trying to kill him.

Under the control of illusory fear, when the train arrived at Jinan Station, Robert took advantage of China’s agent’s inattention and suddenly ran out of the car and ran along the direction of the railway track.

He threw away his passport, and the panic cry of the agent behind him seemed to be no longer audible, as if only running could make him escape his fear. The police found him at Jinan South Railway Station more than 10 kilometers away, and his feet were red and swollen.

Ou Chen took Robert to the hospital to see a psychiatrist. He told Ou Chen that the family relied on him to run a marathon to earn money, and the pressure was very great.

The biggest motivation comes from children.

On the afternoon of November 20th, Josphat’s room was surrounded by a group of people, and Chinese movies were playing on the TV on the wall. They are used to turning on the TV, but because no one understands Chinese lines, they seldom look up.

Dairus put the trophy in his bag and prepared to leave for home. Josphat packed his bags and will go to Wuyuan, Jiangxi Province. His next game is on November 26th.

Mutai came to the room, holding a beautifully packaged bottle of China white wine in his hands. This is one of the prizes he won in Yuyang International Marathon. He was the runner-up in the half-race.

The aroma wafted out from the crack of the door, and the athletes shared the taste of China liquor to celebrate their good achievements.

Life will get better and better. For the future, Dairus has already made a preliminary plan. He and his wife are saving money, and when they stop running, they will use this money to invest in some business.

The biggest motivation comes from children. When it comes to children, Dairus’s usual seriousness disappeared and he smiled. The husband and wife agreed to have three children. They attach great importance to children’s education and firmly believe that "the best investment in children’s education will definitely have the best return."

Through running primitive accumulation of capital, Mutai’s dream of wealth is slowly coming true. After returning to China, Mutai will continue to build houses. He is going to use the bonus he earned in China to build a big house of more than 300 square meters. "It’s very big, with 20 rooms." He simply calculated that the monthly rent of each room is about 1000 yuan RMB.

November 27th is the day when Mutai returned to China. Two days before he left, he walked around the street near Longyang Hotel to buy some clothes for his son. He hopes that his son will grow up to be a policeman and no longer need to run for a living. The police were Mutai’s dream.

"Sandals Brother" amoni put on his newly bought running shoes during training. His blue sandals and combat boots were honorably retired and given to friends in China as souvenirs. (Text/Reporter Zheng Lin)

"This resolution is our opportunity to send a clear signal to the world — — Yes, even in times of war and crisis, we can unite. Yes, we can join hands to create a better future together. "

Bach pointed out that the title of the Olympic Truce resolution "Building a peaceful and better world through sports and Olympic ideals" has clearly demonstrated the common values of the United Nations and the International Olympic Committee. "The Olympic Games is the only event that unites the whole world in peaceful competition. Olympic athletes have sent a powerful message: they can coexist peacefully under the same roof while competing fiercely with each other. "

On November 21st, Bach (right) and Tony Estanguet attended the 78th United Nations General Assembly. The picture comes from the official website of the International Olympic Committee.

Bach said that sports can unite the whole world in peaceful competition only if it is not divided by political, religious, cultural or other interests and differences. "Therefore, we must maintain political neutrality and oppose any form of discrimination."

Member States of the United Nations clearly recognize the Olympic values embodied in the Olympic Charter, namely universality, non-discrimination, political neutrality and sports autonomy, and fully recognize the role of the International Olympic Committee in leading the Olympic movement. Bach expressed his gratitude for this.

Tony Estanguet introduced the significance of the Olympic Truce to the General Assembly by taking the Olympic athletes’ village as an example. He said that thousands of athletes from all over the world live in peace and respect each other in the Olympic Village, which is a portrayal of human solidarity with each other on the premise of diversity.

The time period for the resolution of the Olympic Truce for the Paris Olympic Games and Paralympic Games is 7 days before the opening of the Paris Olympic Games and 7 days after the closing of the Paris Paralympic Games.

Providing China’s plan for the reform and improvement of the global governance system (striding forward and strengthening the country)

At present, the changes of the world, times and history are unfolding in an unprecedented way. In the face of endless global challenges, it is not feasible to fight alone, and global action, global response and global cooperation must be carried out.

After 75 years of hard work and hardships, China’s diplomacy has always been open to the world, determined to make progress for mankind and seek common ground for the world. Since the new era, China has practiced the concept of global governance, provided solutions and injected impetus for the reform and improvement of the global governance system, joined hands with the international community to meet challenges and create a better future, and made continuous progress towards the bright goal of building a community of human destiny.

Keep the world in mind and build a broad consensus on meeting challenges.

In March 2013, the Chairman of the Supreme Leader delivered an important speech at the Moscow Institute of International Relations, putting forward the important concept of building a community of human destiny for the first time. As an interpreter at the lecture site, Alexei Aleksakhin, a professor at Moscow Institute of International Relations, witnessed this historic moment.

The speech entitled "Follow the Trend of the Times and Promote World Peace and Development" delivered by the Chairman of the Supreme Leader is a frequently-used text in Aleksakhin’s teaching, which inspires students to think about the future of the world.

"I will never forget this speech that has a far-reaching impact on the long-term development of the world." Aleksakhin said that the facts over the past 10 years have fully demonstrated that the concept of building a community of human destiny reflects the common well-being of mankind and points out the direction for safeguarding world peace and development and promoting the progress of human civilization.

It is China’s consistent responsibility to face the challenges of the times and answer the questions of the world. From advocating the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, to firmly advocating multi-polarization of the world and democratization of international relations, to proposing the concept of building a community of human destiny, China has actively contributed wisdom to improving global governance.

In July this year, the second high-level meeting of the Global Action Forum for Shared Development was held in Beijing. During the meeting, a unique e-commerce live broadcast attracted attention. Representatives from Cape Verde, Pakistan, Thailand and other countries walked into the e-commerce live broadcast room of global development of digital economy and recommended their own special products and cultural tourism projects. The live broadcast lasted for 12 hours, and more than 60 kinds of special products were recommended, with a cumulative audience of more than 33 million.

Vieira, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Cape Verde, said that the determination of the delegates to meet the challenges together and work together is impressive, and the global development initiative is of great significance to promoting international cooperation and achieving sustainable development.

Since the new era, in order to promote the building of a community of human destiny, China has successively proposed the "One Belt and One Road" initiative, global development initiative, global security initiative, global civilization initiative, etc., in order to build broad consensus and provide a platform for cooperation in response to the challenges of the times.

China’s initiative conforms to the trend of the times and meets the needs of all countries, and the fruits of cooperation are constantly emerging. The "Belt and Road" cooperation extends from Asia and Europe to Africa and Latin America, and more than 150 countries and more than 30 international organizations have signed cooperation documents; More than 1,100 projects have been carried out under the framework of the Global Development Initiative, and more than 600 projects have been implemented in the Global Development Project Library. The Global Security Initiative Research Center was established in July this year, and 20 key cooperation directions were proposed to achieve tangible results; The construction of a global network of civilization dialogue and cooperation has been continuously promoted, and international humanities exchanges and cooperation have been continuously strengthened … …

Raffarin, the former French Prime Minister, said that under the background that global governance is encountering obstacles and often unbalanced, it is right for China to put forward new ideas and initiatives. More cooperation will reduce tensions.

Responsible, firmly safeguard and practice multilateralism.

On September 23rd, the two-day United Nations Future Summit concluded. The meeting adopted the Future Contract, which depicts the blueprint for the future development of the world, aiming at reforming the international governance system and revitalizing multilateralism in order to better cope with the many challenges facing the world.

The world is so big and there are so many problems. Maintaining and practicing multilateralism is the way to solve the problems. As a founding member of the United Nations and a permanent member of the Security Council, China has always been an important force in maintaining multilateralism. China has joined almost all intergovernmental international organizations and more than 600 international conventions. It is the second largest contributor to the United Nations and a peacekeeping contributor.

Former Zambian Foreign Minister Vernon Mwaanga said that supporting the restoration of People’s Republic of China (PRC)’s legitimate seat in the United Nations was the most important international event he participated in as Zambia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations. History has proved that this is a very correct decision, and China is playing an important role in the international arena.

In September 2015, when attending the general debate of the 70th UN General Assembly and delivering an important speech, Chairman Supreme Leader solemnly announced the establishment of China — United Nations Peace and Development Fund. The "Peacekeeping Capacity Building Project" trained more than 3,000 peacekeepers, the "Rapid Response System Project" supported 21 mediation actions of the United Nations, and the "Afghan Youth Refugee Livelihood Project" benefited more than 2,000 refugees … … Since its establishment, the Fund has supported more than 130 projects, covering more than 100 countries, fully demonstrating China’s practical support for the cause of the United Nations.

At the end of last year, an important step was taken in global climate governance. The United Nations Dubai Conference on Climate Change completed the first global inventory since the entry into force of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. China has closely coordinated with the presidency and other parties, provided solutions to key issues in the negotiations, and promoted all parties to converge on differences and play a vital leading role. Najila Azarouni, an expert on international issues in the United Arab Emirates who has been following the conference all the time, said that China’s support for the UAE’s role as the presidency and its emphasis on dialogue and communication with all parties are important forces for the success of the conference.

Only by persisting in discussing, building and sharing can global governance be stable and far-reaching In the new areas of global governance, such as deep sea, polar regions, outer space, network, digital and artificial intelligence, China has always adhered to multilateralism and led all parties to seek the greatest common denominator and expand the scope of cooperation, so as to promote the development and progress of human society with more efficient global governance.

UN Secretary-General Guterres said that China is an important pillar of multilateralism, a staunch supporter of multilateral institutions and plays a vital role in shaping a more peaceful international order.

Follow the trend and promote the development and revitalization of the global South

Agriculture plays an important role in Uganda’s national economy and people’s livelihood, but local farmers have long been plagued by soil degradation. Since July 2020, with the support of the Global Development and South-South Cooperation Fund, China has cooperated with the United Nations to implement the project of "Improving Sustainable Soil Management Capacity" in Uzbekistan.

Provide equipment, establish a database, demonstrate new technologies, develop online courses, and take various measures to continuously improve the soil management ability of local farmers. In September this year, Ugandan Minister of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Frank Tomwebadze, who came to China to attend the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in 2024, said, "In years of cooperation, we have seen China’s ability to solve problems efficiently".

As a natural member of the global South, China has always been the backbone to promote the development and revitalization of the global South. The trend of the global governance system is related to the development space of the countries in the global South. China unswervingly promotes the expansion of the voice and representation of the countries in the global South in global governance.

On September 25th, local time, "Global Development Initiative supports the global South — China in Action "was launched to build consensus to support the common development of the global South. At the fifty-seventh session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, China joined hands with countries in the South to oppose unilateral sanctions and promote the establishment of a fair and reasonable international human rights governance system. The 11th Beijing Xiangshan Forum, held in mid-September, set up a stage for countries in the south of the world to elaborate their own security concepts. The 2024 BRICS New Industrial Revolution Partnership Forum was held in Fujian not long ago, and 15 countries jointly issued the International Cooperation Initiative for New Industrialization. The leading role of BRICS cooperation in the global South’s joint self-improvement has been constantly emerging.

Tanzania — Joseph Kahama, secretary-general of the China Friendship Promotion Association, said: "As a member of the global South, the strength of China has made the voices of other countries in the global South better heard."

The great changes in the world that have never happened in a century have accelerated their evolution, and the global South is a key force in the reform of the international order. In line with the historical trend, China has joined hands with all parties to light up the "Southern Moment" of global governance: successfully hosting the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in 2024, holding the 10th ministerial meeting of the Forum on China-Arab Cooperation, fully starting the work of the rotating presidency of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, supporting the BRICS cooperation to be further strengthened after the historic expansion, and supporting Brazil and Peru to hold the G20 Summit and the informal meeting of APEC leaders & HELIP; …

Bakht Gulova, former ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to China, said that China is willing to promote the continuous improvement of global governance and global development, and is leading the international community to make joint efforts for world peace, security and stability, and work together to build a community of human destiny.

Major international multinational automobile companies have joint ventures in China. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will work with relevant departments to strengthen high-level open cooperation in the field of new energy vehicles so that scientific and technological innovations can better benefit people all over the world. There are several tasks that need to be further promoted:

First, deepen investment and technical cooperation. Welcome enterprises from all countries to invest in China, support enterprises from all countries to carry out various forms of cooperation with Chinese enterprises in the fields of solid-state batteries and autonomous driving, give full play to their respective advantages, jointly solve technical problems existing in industrial development, and accelerate the realization of technological breakthroughs and industrial applications. At the same time, we also support China enterprises to go abroad, invest and set up factories overseas, and take our advanced technology and products abroad, so that people in more countries can enjoy the fruits of scientific and technological progress.

The second is to promote the coordination of standards and regulations. Internationalized industries must have internationalization rules. It is necessary to play the role of the United Nations World Vehicle Regulations Coordination Forum and the International Organization for Standardization, speed up the formulation of relevant standards for new energy vehicles and intelligent networked vehicles, strengthen low-carbon development cooperation with relevant countries and regions, promote the formation of mutually recognized carbon emissions and carbon footprint accounting systems, and create a good environment for the application of innovative technologies. This aspect is very important.

The third is to jointly maintain the stability of the industrial chain supply chain. Adhere to the consensus of international innovation and global development, support enterprises in various countries to strengthen division of labor and efficient collaboration, promote the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, promote the interconnection and efficient operation of resource elements and infrastructure, and further enhance the efficiency of global industrial chain supply chain governance.

Chongqing’s "No.1 uncompleted residential building" is beset with lawsuits, and "at least 10 couples are divorced because of it"

The last "unfinished building" in the main city of Chongqing has become a heart disease for all parties. The Paper Xu Qiyong

The unfinished building "Yingdan Building", which has stood for 14 years in the downtown area of Yubei District, Chongqing, has become an alternative landmark of the city.

This first "unfinished building" in Chongqing is like a nail, which has been poked in Zheng Jing’s heart for four years: "Every time I pass by it, I can’t help but feel a burst of heartache."

Zheng Jing is a shareholder of Chongqing Zhongxiong Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zhongxiong Company").

Four years ago, Zhongxiong Company participated in a judicial auction and won Yingdan Building for 251,836.8 million yuan. Since then, Zheng Jing and Zhongxiong Company have been caught in a lawsuit "whirlpool" and have been claimed 150 million yuan.

The Paper (www.thepaper.cn) learned in an interview that "Yingdan Mansion" is like a black hole. Some people go to jail because of it, some people spend all their money for it, some people become petitioners, others are separated because of it, and at least 10 couples get divorced because of it.

The builder was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

Yingdan Building is located at the turntable of the new memorial archway in Yubei District, Chongqing, adjacent to the starting point of the airport expressway.

According to public information, Yingdan Building covers an area of 8.36 mu, and is a front and rear conjoined building with 33 floors and 25 floors respectively. The main project of the building has been completed, but the external wall has yet to be decorated, and the door opening has been reserved. The internal pipe network, water and electricity, and elevators have not been installed.

"Every year, buyers come here from time to time to see, and some even cry." On August 5th, the owner of a restaurant near Yingdan Building told The Paper that in the past 14 years, many people have been forced to shed tears by this "unfinished building".

Through a rusty iron gate, it can be seen that the courtyard is already covered with weeds as tall as people, and the same rusty tower crane stands tall.

Two security guards sat in the courtyard of the building, drinking tea and reading the newspaper. Knocking on the iron gate, The Paper tried to enter the compound, but they refused, and even taking pictures was prevented. Under the refraction of sunlight, the unfinished building cast a huge shadow on the sidewalk next to it.

Yingdan Building is jointly built by Chongqing Yunhui Trading Co., Ltd. and Chongqing Yingdan Property (Group) Co., Ltd., and both parties agree that Yunhui Company will leave the land and Yingdan Company will contribute to the construction. Construction started in 1999, but stopped in November 2000 due to the break of Yingdan Company’s capital chain.

Yingdan Company, which is in urgent need of funds, introduced the natural person Jingnong Ronglian in 2002. However, in the name of internal subscription, Jing sold the houses without pre-sale permits to 29 buyers at low prices, making a profit of 5.06 million yuan. Therefore, he was charged with contract fraud and sentenced to 12 years in prison, which became a sensational "internal subscription fraud case".

In September, 2003, Yunhui sued Yingdan Company for canceling the contract for the joint construction of Yingdan Building. At the same time, Yingdan company began to fall into a lawsuit war with many creditors.

Yingdan Company has been repeatedly defeated in this lawsuit, and has been applied by many creditors for debt repayment. In March 2009, Yingdan Building was sealed up by the People’s Court of Yubei District of Chongqing (hereinafter referred to as "Yubei District Court") as a whole and submitted to Chongqing Higher People’s Court (hereinafter referred to as "Chongqing High Court") for evaluation and auction.

Entrusted by Chongqing High Court, on March 29th, 2010, Chongqing Bocheng, Chongqing Huaxia and Chongqing Jingfeng jointly issued a judicial auction announcement.

Auction book about Yingdan Building. The Paper Xu Qiyong

The winning company was claimed 150 million yuan.

On March 29th, 2010, Zhongxiong Company, which is owned by Zheng Jing, saw the auction announcement of Yingdan Building.

Zheng Jing said that at that time, the company was very optimistic about the location advantage of Yingdan Building-located in the prime location of Xinpaifang in Yubei District, Chongqing, adjacent to the starting point of Airport Expressway.

On April 30, 2010, Chongqing Higher People’s Court opened the judicial auction of Yingdan Building, and set the valuation of 186 million yuan as the starting price.

The auction was held in Chongqing United Assets and Equity Exchange, and electronic bidding was adopted.

Zheng Jing recalled that the competition on the day of the auction was fierce. After 83 bidding contests, Zhongxiong Company and another buyer finally clinched a deal with 251,836.8 million yuan, and signed the Auction Confirmation Letter with the auction company on the same day.

However, Zhongxiong Company subsequently discovered that the subject matter notified to the court by the local land and construction departments had a series of major flaws. "These flaws were not disclosed before the auction." Zhongxiong Company believes that due to the unauthorized increase of building floors, Yingdan Building has serious security risks, and it does not have the conditions for external auction without the appraisal of relevant quality appraisal departments. At the same time, there are a lot of property rights and debt disputes in this project, which leads to the actual possession and control of the building by some unidentified people.

In view of this, Zhongxiong Company immediately stopped paying the bid price, and communicated and negotiated with the auction company many times.

On May 24, 2010, three auction companies wrote to Chongqing High Court, asking the court to find that Zhongxiong Company was in breach of contract.

Subsequently, Chongqing Yubei District Court made an enforcement award to revoke the auction results and re-auction Yingdan Building.

In July 2010, Yingdan Building was auctioned again. This time, the building was bought by Chongqing Huaou Real Estate Co., Ltd. for 176,934.96 million yuan.

What Zheng Jing didn’t expect was that the troubles of Zhongxiong Company began to follow. In the series of execution cases of Yingdan Building, Zhongxiong Company was added as the executor.

In December 2010, Zhongxiong Company was ruled by Chongqing High Court and Yubei Court to bear the auction price difference of 74.9 million yuan.

On October 20, 2011, Chongqing Higher People’s Court ruled that the property of Zhongxiong and its shareholders was 67.9 million yuan. Previously, the personal assets of Zhongxiong shareholders worth hundreds of millions had long been controlled by the court, and even the real estate and bank deposits under the name of shareholder Zheng Jing’s mother were not spared.

On February 26th, 2014, Fang Yunhui Company, the former joint building of Yingdan Building, filed a complaint with Chongqing No.5 Intermediate People’s Court (hereinafter referred to as "Chongqing No.5 Intermediate People’s Court"), demanding that Zhongxiong Company and its two major shareholders jointly compensate for its losses of 54.1 million yuan on the grounds that its shareholders abused its independent status as a legal person and its shareholders’ limited liability harmed the interests of its creditors.

Yun Hui believes that Zhongxiong Company and its shareholders deliberately broke the contract in the auction of Yingdan Building, resulting in its debt of nearly 50 million yuan to Yingdan Company still unpaid.

On April 6, 2014, Yingdan Company sued Zhongxiong Company and its shareholders in Chongqing No.5 Intermediate People’s Court for the same reason, demanding that the court order Zhongxiong and its shareholders to jointly compensate for the losses of 94 million yuan.

At present, the above two cases have been filed, and Zhongxiong Company has been claimed for nearly 150 million yuan. Hundreds of millions of personal property previously seized by shareholders of Zhongxiong Company was once again preserved by the litigation property of Chongqing No.5 Intermediate People’s Court; The Chongqing Higher People’s Court has not lifted the measures taken by shareholders of Zhongxiong Company to restrict high consumption and exit.

Legal experts "bar" to court

In view of the series of rulings of relevant courts, Zhongxiong Company and its shareholders have made judicial relief in order to get out of the dilemma of being attacked by both sides.

The Paper learned that Zhongxiong Company first questioned whether the auction of Yingdan Building was effective.

In 2011, Zhongxiong Company sued Chongqing Bocheng, Chongqing Huaxia and Chongqing Jingfeng auction companies, arguing that Yingdan Building had serious hidden dangers in building safety and quality, and could not be actually delivered, so it could not be used as the auction target. According to the relevant regulations, the "Auction Confirmation Letter" signed by Zhongxiong Company and three auction companies should be deemed invalid.

In this regard, the Chongqing No.1 Intermediate People’s Court made a civil ruling on December 1, 2011, dismissing Zhongxiong’s lawsuit against three auction companies, on the grounds that Zhongxiong’s objection to the validity of the Confirmation of Auction Closing was not within the scope of the court’s civil litigation.

On March 20, 2012, Chongqing Higher People’s Court rejected Zhongxiong’s appeal for the same reason and upheld the ruling of Chongqing No.1 Intermediate People’s Court.

However, in the face of a series of rulings that were added as the executors of Yingdan Building case, Zhongxiong and shareholders repeatedly filed execution objections and reconsideration applications with Chongqing High Court and Yubei District Court, all of which were rejected. They applied to the Supreme People’s Court for reconsideration within the statutory time limit, and so far there is no result.

According to the statistics of Zhongxiong Company, only in 2012, the company and its shareholders filed an application for execution objection and reconsideration with the courts at all levels, totaling 8 times, and none of them succeeded.

Recently, five senior law professors from Southwest University of Political Science and Law, including Liu Jun, Zhao Wanyi, Liu Yunsheng, Sun Peng and Li Zujun, jointly issued a legal advisory opinion.

According to the opinion, Yingdan Building has serious quality and safety problems and serious violations of the law, which is prohibited by law. The judicial auction of Yingdan Building by Chongqing High Court is invalid, and Zhongxiong Company does not have to bear the liability for breach of contract for the auction price difference.

"It is a serious violation of the law for the court to directly judge and confirm the responsibility of Zhongxiong and shareholders in the execution procedure without trial and cross-examination." The submission said.

When Yingdan Building will be started is still a mystery..The Paper Xu Qiyong

At least 10 couples divorced.

According to the "Recommended Information of Yingdan Building Project" issued by official website of Chongqing United Assets and Equity Exchange on April 8, 2010, there are 1,205 creditors of the subject matter, involving the principal amount of equity of 303 million yuan, including 1,123 buyers, involving a housing area of more than 120,000 square meters, involving an amount of 173 million yuan; There are 82 claims, involving an amount of about 130 million yuan.

Zheng Jingyuan’s quiet life has been broken since he got his hands on Yingdan Building. Because of the restrictions on high consumption and going abroad, high consumer goods can’t be bought, and the business that needs to be discussed abroad can’t be discussed, and it is caught in the whirlpool of litigation, and the cause has also been greatly affected.

It is far more than Zhongxiong Company and its shareholders that have been hit hard. According to Fu Hui, a full-time lawyer of Zhongxiong Company, in the shadow of this huge debt, countless creditors have become "bitter owners", who have been seeking to pay off their debts for more than ten years.

Wang Qiulin is the representative of this group of "victims". She told The Paper that in 2006, she borrowed more than 600,000 yuan to buy three apartments in Yingdan Building. In the signed contract, it was agreed to hand over the house in the second year, and the result was far away.

"The money was originally borrowed from friends and relatives at a monthly interest rate of 1 point." Wang Qiulin said that in recent years, the family was overwhelmed by creditors. In 2010, her husband chose to divorce her because he couldn’t stand the days when creditors came to ask for money every day.

The same thing happened to Lin Jiahua, a house buyer. Before buying a house, Lin had a one-bedroom apartment in Jiangbei District. In 2007, I bought Yingdan Building through a friend’s introduction, and cobbled together nearly 200,000 yuan to Yingdan Company.

After the "rotten tail" of Yingdan Building, Lin Jiahua not only had to endure the pain of being forced by creditors every day, but also was called "the black sheep" by her husband. At the end of last year, her husband divorced her. In order to pay off her debts, she had to sell the only one-bedroom apartment and rent a house outside.

Lin Jiahua said that after the "unfinished" Yingdan Building, many families divorced because they could not repay their debts. Of the 30 buyers she knows, at least 10 have chosen to divorce because they can’t stand the days when creditors force their debts. This statement was confirmed by many buyers.

After Yingdan Building was "unfinished", Wang Qiulin and 30 other buyers took Yingdan Company, the developer, to court and won the case, but the creditor’s rights are still difficult to pay off.

According to the investigation in The Paper, Yingdan Company was on the verge of bankruptcy and liquidation, and there was no property to execute.

Wang Qiulin and others meet at Chongqing High Court and Yubei District Court every month to discuss their views. When he couldn’t make a statement, he turned to the Chongqing municipal government for help, during which he had a conflict with the police.

A "Report on Monitoring the Real Estate Market in the First Quarter of 2012" issued by the Land and Housing Ownership Registration Center in Yubei District said that Chongqing Stability Office and Yubei District Stability Office organized planning, construction committee, land, housing management, courts and other relevant departments to conduct special studies on the above issues of Yingdan Building.

In 2013, Zhejiang Huakun Company took over Yingdan Building. A staff member revealed that the company had completed the relevant procedures of Yingdan Building at the end of last year, and all the warrants were completed. The staff member said that at present, there are different opinions on the aftermath of Yingdan Building within Huakun Company: "Whether it is refined decoration or clean water room sales, everyone has not reached an agreement." Therefore, there is no specific plan for when the building will be restarted.

The Paper obtained a letter from the Chongqing Yubei District Construction Committee to the Yubei District Court, saying: Yubei District is the north gate of Chongqing and the best livable area in the city. Yingdan Building, as an unfinished building, will seriously affect and damage the image of the city.

Diary of nurses in Shanghai supporting Wuhan medical team: days of fighting in ICU

CCTV News:(Reporter Liu Wei correspondent Li Anhui) February 8, Lantern Festival. At 9 o’clock in the evening, Huashan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University in Shanghai urgently "ordered soldiers". In just 90 minutes, a medical team consisting of 215 medical staff was set up to support Wuhan.

This is Yang Qingxiang’s second invitation to fight, and his application was approved. During the more than one month’s fighting in Guanggu Campus, tongji hospital, Wuhan, she kept a diary. Record the days when they fought in ICU, and record the process when they snatched life from death.

The following is an excerpt from Yang Qingxiang’s diary:

On Saturday, February 8, 2020, the fifteenth day of the first month, Shanghai Yin

Today is the Lantern Festival. Affected by the epidemic, the festive atmosphere is not as strong as in previous years.

At 9: 30 in the evening, the department group began to collect medical staff to go to Wuhan. Time is tight and we will leave tomorrow. I once again signed up for the leadership, because I have 5 years of ICU work experience and 13 years of emergency work experience.

If I can help Wuhan, my professional skills and work experience should be able to play a role.

  February 9, 2020, Sunday, January 16, Shanghai sunny/Wuhan cloudy.

At 2: 30 in the morning, the head nurse called and asked me to get ready and leave in the morning. I packed some clothes and necessities overnight.

Sleepless all night. Get up in the morning, my son hasn’t woken up yet. I had no time to say hello to him, so I hurried to the hospital.

At 8: 30, the comrades-in-arms came to report for duty with their big bags and small bags. We had pre-war training.

The director of the emergency department, the head nurse and the left-behind partners are helping us prepare materials and see us off. We took a group photo as a souvenir and told each other to take good care.

When I got on the bus and saw my colleagues waving to me outside the window, tears could not help but rush out. I buried my head low and couldn’t bear to see the people who saw me off.

At seven o’clock in the evening, we arrived at Wuhan Tianhe Airport and checked into a hotel in Optics Valley. At this time of Wuhan, the lights are still on, silently showing the prosperity of the city in the past. All this makes my heart particularly uncomfortable.

It rained in Wuhan on Tuesday, February 11, 2020.

I started to work in the hospital today. We took over the intensive care unit in tongji hospital Optics Valley Campus, which was temporarily transformed from the rehabilitation ward. All my work today is in the clean area.

I told myself that I should actively and humbly ask the local teachers to learn and get familiar with the process and job responsibilities here as quickly as possible. At that time, all I could think about was getting familiar with the situation quickly, and I never thought that I was already a person in an epidemic area.

Monday, February 17, 2020, January 24, Wuhan sunny

Today, we regrouped, and I was assigned to group H, and went into the cabin to nurse the patients.

After taking over, we communicated the main nursing points of today’s patients. We should pay more attention to special patients. The head nurse assigned beds to each responsible nurse before entering the cabin. After entering the cabin, my comrades and I visited the beds from 1 to 30 respectively. When problems were found, they were solved, and those that could not be solved were reported.

Helping patients turn over, change sheets and wipe stools has become our job, because there is no care worker. A lot of work can’t be done by one person. We must help each other. When you meet something, just call the partner in the next bed and ask them to give you a hand.

How busy are we? Let’s put it this way: of the 30 patients in our ward, 26 were intubated and connected with ventilators. We never sat down from putting on protective clothing until we took off protective clothing and returned to the clean area. We always wear diapers to go in, but in fact, we don’t have enough water and sweat in our bodies, and there is no urine at all. When leaving the cabin, the face was deeply imprinted by goggles and masks, and some even blistered. All these can be tolerated. The most helpless thing is that the patient’s condition changes too fast. Some patients are quite clear when they come in, and they have difficulty breathing in the afternoon and have to be intubated!

On February 18th, 2020, it was sunny in Wuhan on Tuesday, the 25th day of the first month.

A small colleague told me, Mr. Yang, that patient’s blood has not been drawn, and he can’t find the vein.

I followed her. This is a female patient, about thirty or forty years old, and she is very thin.

I told her she needed to draw some blood. She said, I’m sorry, I have no appetite these days, I haven’t eaten, and my veins may be hard to find.

Through the thick blindfold, I can’t see her veins at all. I can only touch them with my hands wearing three layers of gloves according to the anatomical characteristics. Fortunately, I hit the nail on the head and successfully drew several tubes of blood.

When I left this room, I heard her saying "thank you" in the distance. Although the voice was very weak, it raised a strong feeling in my heart.

On Wednesday, February 19th, January 26th, 2020, Wuhan became cloudy and sunny.

Today, I went around every sick room. Bed 29 is an old man in his sixties. Because his condition has improved, he is about to be transferred to the general ward. He is the first patient admitted to this newly-built intensive care unit. He said, thank you for your lifesavers from Shanghai. You have all worked hard. He said that he would always remember us. I asked him how his family was, and he said that he lived in different hospitals, but he didn’t know what was going on yet. He was very worried.

February 26, 2020, Wednesday, the fourth day of February, Wuhan Yin

Struggled for a night shift today.

There was a patient whose tracheal intubation was assisted by ventilator, but he was still conscious, but he could not speak. Seeing me go in, he drew gently with his hand, looking very miserable. I didn’t know what he wanted, so I asked him if he could write. He nodded slightly. I gave him a pen and paper, and he wrote the word "propofol". My heart was surprised. I think he should be a medical worker.

I told him that he must cooperate with the ventilator to breathe, and he might be able to extubate offline for a few days. He gestured to me with his eyes, and he understood.

It rained heavily in Wu Hanyou on Monday, February 2nd, 2020.

The patient who is offline from ECMO is in excellent spirits today, chatting in bed by voice. I asked him who he was talking to so much, and he said it was his girl. He told me that my girl is older than you. I smiled and said, no way. He said, yes, my girl is 26 years old. I said, I’m over 40. He said, I didn’t expect that you look like a post-95 generation.

The patient told me that their whole family was infected, but now they are all leaving the hospital.

Another offline extubation patient also told us that he would cooperate with the treatment well, get through it and live up to our efforts.

We have been in Wuhan for more than 20 days, and more and more people are transferred from here to the general ward, and more and more people can chat and talk. Seeing all this, our mood also changed from initial depression to relief. When I’m free at work, I’ll talk to sober patients more to make them more confident to recover.

My greatest expectation is that they can be transferred from here to the general ward or discharged from hospital, so that we can all go home with peace of mind, return to our original lives and return to our jobs.

I believe that the dawn of that day will come soon! Come on!

28 years later, you must not know the stories of "The True Story of Teddy Boy"!

Special feature of 1905 film network For mainland audience fans, it is undoubtedly another opportunity to satisfy their feelings to really enter the cinema after a lapse of 28 years.

In the past 28 years, no matter Wong Kar-wai’s style, a series of classic movie lines, the excellent acting skills of the actors, the excellent cooperation of the music editing of photography art and even the memory of his brother Leslie Cheung, they are all repeated in the audience’s repeated appreciation and taste of the film.

Until today, its classic status has long been unshakable.

But in addition, what mysteries have been left to the audience by The True Story of Teddy Boy in the past 28 years, or what "unforgettable" memories have been left to the main creator, so here we might as well come one by one:

Where does "I don’t understand" come from?

Today, The True Story of Teddy Boy is recognized as a Chinese film classic, but in that year, it was a "mysterious" work that once made the whole film circle nervous. Let’s see what Wong Kar-wai’s "old enemy" Jing Wong said — —

Everyone is very nervous and constantly wants to know how the True Story of Teddy Boy is made, but everyone comes back with a different version. Even the camera crew who went to the Philippines at last can’t tell what he (Wong Kar-wai) took. It’s really mysterious, except that it overspent terribly … I heard that even my boss Deng Guangrong had never seen the whole movie before the first midnight show, and my boss Xiang Huasheng. But after the midnight show, the mystery remains unsolved, and everyone still doesn’t know the plot, because no one can understand it!

From this moment on, "I can’t understand" has officially become one of Wong Kar-wai’s film symbols in the past 28 years. After all, it was "given" to him by peers and audiences.

But in the past 28 years, this has never prevented "The True Story of Teddy Boy" from becoming a classic in the history of fame!

"Taiwan version" has another mystery?

When the film was released in Taiwan, there was another version. The main changes were concentrated in the last ten minutes. The plot content was basically the same, but the editing changed slightly and some fragments were added.

For example, Leslie Cheung and Andy Lau escaped from the Filipinos, and the Hong Kong version only fled to the roof of two people, while the Taiwan version had two more people jumping off the train:

Two people on the train dialogue, Hong Kong version from Leslie Cheung said "people will die every minute" dialogue, into his positive and negative shots with Andy Lau:

The stage version becomes a long shot of more than 1 minute:

At the back of the jungle empty mirror, Leslie Cheung’s voiceover monologue immediately appeared in the Hong Kong version, but it didn’t appear until the empty mirror was put in the Taiwan version for 30 seconds:

Next, the Hong Kong version is a long shot of Andy Lau, and Leslie Cheung is full of voiceovers. Finally, it is a shot that shows "Xu Zi died":

In the Taiwan version, Andy Lau’s shot becomes the middle shot, followed by Leslie Cheung’s long shot, and Andy Lau is full of voice-over. The Hong Kong version of "Xu Zi dies", while the Taiwan version becomes a dialogue between two people:

The Taiwanese version cut this section and turned it into a picture of two people. Xu Zi is still not dead, and the classic soundtrack is gone, and even the final train vision is different:

Then Carina Lau came to the Philippines, and the Hong Kong version showed her in the room, "inquiring about a person" with the landlord, apparently for Leslie Cheung:

Taiwan version is that she came to the hotel lobby to ask if there is a room, and she also met a girl who had previously accosted Andy Lau:

In a word, there is no essential change in the two editions of Hong Kong and Taiwan, but it reveals the secret of "One Scene and Two Faces" in The True Story of Teddy Boy.

The mystery of Hua zai’s identity

In all the exposed versions, there is no doubt that Andy Lau’s role in The True Story of Teddy Boy is a policeman, but in a trailer, there is a clip of him dressed as a "gangster" smoking and walking through the Kowloon walled city with a knife, which adds to the testimony that he originally played Teddy Boy — — "Huazai is a man from the city village. He was photographed gambling in a big stall. There was a woman wearing only bra underwear, dancing around with a boa constrictor, and he was scraping against the wall with a knife … …”

Later, when Liu Zhenwei filmed Wong Kar-wai’s useless story as Forever, the essence also continued Andy Lau’s "punk" style:

Where is Tony Leung Chiu Wai?

One version of The True Story of Teddy Boy was shown at the beginning, but it was put at the end of the film.

But before that, it almost didn’t fit into the feature film. The reason was that after Wong Kar-wai finished filming, he thought that the role of Tony Leung Chiu Wai was headless and uncapped, so he planned to use this scene as a propaganda picture. But Tan Jiaming, who was in charge of editing, said "put it directly at the end of the play" and specially found a piece of music to match it. Wong Kar-wai shouted "Good Right" to make this classic public.

Regrettably, Tony Leung Chiu Wai will have more emotional scenes with Maggie Cheung in the next episode, especially "bending in a very narrow and cramped space with few words. The two people looked at each other lazily and handed cups. The tension was very good."

But I didn’t expect that Tony Leung Chiu Wai spent three months filming in the city village before and after this story, but it was useless in the end, and the "tension" between him and Maggie Cheung didn’t last until after all, but at that time he was not Zhou Mu Yun, and she was not Su Lizhen when she was young.

Disappeared "sister"

In Wong Kar-wai’s films, characters have been "disappeared" more than once.

Such as Joey Wong, Guan Shuyi, Sun Jiajun, Roy Cheung, etc. Even if the scenes did not all disappear, they all reached the degree of "semi-disappearance". Except for Tony Leung Chiu Wai’s repeated three-month play, it basically disappeared, and later Kimura Takuya and Song Hye Kyo were also doomed. …

However, many people may not know that The True Story of Teddy Boy also has a completely disappeared role, that is, Margaret Lee Din Long, who plays Tony Leung Chiu Wai’s sister, seems to have a quiet reputation and has a great foundation — — Daughter of the great director Li Hanxiang.

According to Tony Leung Chiu Wai, the role itself is a prostitute. When my brother was young, he tricked him into working in a big casino, which made him a gambler. So if all of them were not deleted, it should be another wonderful performance.

Incidentally, it was the script written by Wong Kar-wai that Margaret Lee Din Long nominated for the Academy Award for the first time.

The midnight show of "terror"

In the past, Hong Kong films often had a premiere around 11 pm. After the main creator appeared, the audience would enter the cinema before 12 pm, or before the film was officially released, a group of audiences were randomly invited to the cinema at 12 pm one day (the specific title will not be disclosed in advance) to observe their comments and reactions. This is the legendary "midnight show".

Needless to say, midnight audience, as the first audience, can often accurately predict the future of the film: if the audience cheers and applauds, it will be difficult for the film to sell, otherwise, it will be difficult for the film to sell if it swears, throws popcorn or corn cobs at the screen, scratches the back of the theater, or even greets the director.

Therefore, after the midnight show, the film side often re-cuts the film according to the audience’s reaction, and the result usually makes the "released version" and the "midnight show version" have different degrees of difference.

Seeing this, you can also imagine the midnight scene of The True Story of Teddy Boy: in the middle of the film, the audience stood up and cursed."Who is Wong Kar-wai? !” After the show, the voices of "returning water (refund)", "er (cheating) money" and "I don’t know what to shoot" came and went, and the audience even rushed to spread "Never go to see The True Story of Teddy Boy!"

In the end, the film was released just two weeks after its release, and the cumulative box office was only 9.75 million Hong Kong dollars! Compared with the film investment of HK$ 20 million, it is no wonder that the boss Deng Guangrong went to the hospital for intravenous drip, and it is even rumored that he burned the rest of the film in a rage!

"Ten Million Box Office" Reached?

The first release of "The True Story of Teddy Boy" is less than 10 million box office, and the loss is a foregone conclusion, but is it still less than 10 million?

That may not be true, because the film won five awards in the 10th Hong Kong Film Awards, and then it was re-screened. As a result, it won more than 2 million Hong Kong dollars at the box office under the topic of awards, and with the original 9 million, it finally reached the "10 million box office". It can be seen that even the basic box office income is confirming the difficulty of "The True Story of Teddy Boy".

Ling Chia "collapsed on the spot"?

For many years, many people have always thought that it was the biggest "legacy" that the winner of the Academy Awards didn’t give it to Carina Lau.

Carina Lau is not modest about this, toThe description of "collapse on the spot" revealed the moment: "I was young at that time, and the whole environment pushed me to the point of’ I must have won it’. I also felt that I didn’t guess correctly when I won the prize, and even all the magazines were on my cover. Didn’t I take it? And I went to the Academy Awards, and three of the four nominees (winners) didn’t come, so they must be afraid of me! Not me yet? Even Brigitte Lin and Chow Yun Fat, who presented the awards, thought it must be me, so I just prepared to come up and give my acceptance speech. In short, after going to heaven, it turned out that it was not me, and that kind of blow was great. "

"If it is now, I will feel so what? What does it matter? But at that time, I really needed an award to give myself an affirmation, so if I gave it to me at that time, I felt that it would have a great impetus to my career. " I don’t want to. This regret actually made Carina Lau wait for 20 years before winning the prize. Only the parties can really understand how much warmth and sadness there are during the period. …

Xueyou is "worried"

Carina Lau was not the only one who was worried about The True Story of Teddy Boy, and Jacky Cheung, who is still not a singer.

At that time, he took a head-up action. After Wong Kar-wai NG for more than 60 times, he only gave him a "forget it", which made him "very uncomfortable. At least tell me which take is ok?" Not only that, in the first scene after the boot, Wong Kar-wai actually sang Jacky Cheung more than 20 times, completely losing face!

In the end, after ashes of time, Jacky Cheung refused to cooperate with Wong Kar-wai.

Behind this, the essence is Jacky Cheung’s feelings about Wong Kar-wai’s "love and hate": in 1988, Jacky Cheung’s singing career was at a low ebb, and only 20,000 albums were sold, and some films he didn’t like were made. Every day, he either drank or played table tennis, and he had to go on stage in other places because of his unsteady drinking. His inner depression was imaginable.

But this year, through his participation, he changed from being criticized for acting to winning the Hong Kong Academy Award for "Best Supporting Actor" — — In other words, Wong Kar-wai found the confidence to be an actor for him!

The following year, by participating in the legendary swordsman, Jacky Cheung won the Golden Horse Award for Best Supporting Actor. At this time, his singing career has not recovered. Two acting awards once made him want to focus on movies, so he also had the courage to take on such a big production as Bloody Streets (which finally won him the first nomination for Best Actor) & HELIP; …

At this juncture, WoNG Kar-wai ng and a sentence of "forget it" for more than 60 times, what a cold water for him!

Leslie Cheung "for real"?

"The True Story of Teddy Boy" is actually an "abusive" play, and the fate of every character in the play is very abusive. The actors outside the play are either abused by the director, abused by awards or abused by other actors — — It’s not, brother Leslie Cheung staged a "fisticuffs"!

According to Shanzhi Chen, director of the film, in the scene where my brother beat his adoptive mother’s boyfriend, "The other person is a musician, not a professional actor. Before shooting, leslie specifically told me,’ Please tell him that it’s nothing personal, because it’s not me anymore, it’s the role in the play, and I won’t’ just’ fight formally. He is the person I want to fight.’ Jia Wei let him play freely. He picked up a real hammer and broke the whole washing dish, really hitting the man with a bone fracture! "

After the filming, my brother, who was deeply involved in the play, had to stand aside and the whole person trembled for a long time before he calmed down.

But when he gets back to his state, he immediately cares about his opponent’s injury, and even more bluntly, if the film company fails to pay off the medical expenses, he is willing to bear all — — This is my brother, as always kind.
