With sakura as the medium, talk and cooperate together. On the morning of March 21st, the 2024 "Meet Cherry Blossoms in Spring" economic and trade negotiation and the dialogue among the world’s top 500 enterprises in Hubei opened in Wuhan.
The event was hosted by the Hubei Provincial People’s Government, hosted by the Hubei Provincial Department of Commerce, the Foreign Affairs Office of the Hubei Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Hubei Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade. With the theme of "Meet in Spring and Win-win’ Jingcai’", the event showed the new face of Hubei’s economic and social development in an all-round way, introduced Hubei’s investment environment, attracted more coastal high-quality enterprises and projects to land in Hubei, promoted the construction of a modern industrial system, accelerated the cultivation of new quality productivity, and provided strong support for vigorously promoting the practice of Chinese modernization in Hubei.
More than 600 guests were invited to attend, including relevant leaders of national ministries and commissions, foreign diplomatic envoys in China, representatives of domestic and foreign government agencies and international economic organizations, executives of world top 500 and well-known multinational companies and central enterprises, heads of well-known enterprises in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, heads of domestic foreign-funded associations and financial institutions, well-known Chu businessmen, outstanding alumni and representatives of well-known enterprises in the province.
At the opening ceremony, 24 key projects were signed with a total amount of 121.391 billion yuan, involving new energy and intelligent networked vehicles, energy conservation and environmental protection, high-end equipment, new materials and other fields.
Before the opening ceremony, the guests also visited the exhibition area of Hubei’s industries and achievements of foreign trade and economic cooperation, and felt the vigorous development trend of Hubei’s key industries and the fruitful economic and trade cooperation with "top 500 enterprises in three categories" and well-known multinational companies in recent years.
