Brazil has reported 13 cases of H5N1 avian influenza.

So far, 13 cases of H5N1 avian influenza have been reported in Brazil.

  The bird flu case reported this time was found in the wild bird black-necked swan in the Taimu Ecological Reserve in Nandahe Prefecture, which was closed on the 26th local time. According to the announcement, one case of H5N1 avian influenza occurred in tern was also reported in Rio de Janeiro and the state of Santa Espiritu.

  On the 15th local time, Brazil reported the first case of bird flu. On the 22nd, Brazil entered a six-month animal health emergency. So far, 13 cases of H5N1 avian influenza have been reported in Brazil, including 9 cases in Santa Espiritu, 3 cases in Rio de Janeiro and 1 case in Nanda River.

  The Brazilian federal government also announced on the same day that H5N1 avian influenza will not be transmitted by eating poultry or eggs, and the consumption of meat and eggs is still safe in the country. He also stressed that human infection with avian influenza virus is mainly through direct contact with infected birds, and appealed to the public to avoid contact with sick birds.
