Aston martin VANTAGE GTE is a racing car that meets the GT2 specification of ACO French Racing Association. The car is based on aston martin V8 VANTAGE, with a 4.5-liter V8 engine and a 6-speed sequential gearbox. The weight of the car is 1195 kg.
VANTAGE GTE is an upgraded version of VANTAGE GT2 released in 2008. aston martin Team sent a new car to participate in WEC World Endurance Championship this year. At the first stop of the 60th Sebeling 12-hour Endurance Race, the aston martin team got on the podium. In this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours Endurance Race, the aston martin team also boarded the podium. In addition, the Gulf Racing team sent VANTAGE GT2 to participate in the French race of the opening match of the European Le Mans Series in April this year.

Events: FIA GT1 Championship
In September 2011, FIA GT1 Championship held two competitions in Ordos and Beijing. At that time, the No.7 aston martin DBR9 racing car of ng Driver team was painted with Gulf. As the GT1 car is no longer competing this year, we won’t see this car again at GT1 China Station this year.
4. aston martin AMR-One

Events: 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Due to the lack of necessary pre-tests, the reliability of aston martin AMR-One racing car cannot be guaranteed at all. In the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2011, two AMR-One cars only ran 2 laps and 4 laps respectively, so they regretted quitting the race. In January, 2012, aston martin announced that it would abandon the research and development of AMR-One racing car and turn its attention to GT racing car.

Although it is the same DBR9 as the car introduced above, this car in 2008 has more special significance. Because the Gulf painted racing car won the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the first time in 1968, and 40 years later, in 2008, the No.9 Gulf painted racing car in the aston martin team operated by the top British racing company Prodrive won the GT1 championship.
